Kanin
is the only high mountain ski resort in Slovenia (above 2000 m above sea level). It is situated above the town of Bovec. Snow normally lasts from November to May;
1 cable-car, 3 chair lifts, 3 ski lifts.
Kobla
(1480 m above sea level) is a rather new ski resort above the town of Bohinjska Bistrica (and near Lake Bohinj) with the only downhill slope in Slovenia;
3 chair lifts, 3 ski lifts.
Vogel
(1540 m above sea level) is a ski resort above Lake Bohinj;
1 cable-car, 3 chair lifts, 5 ski lifts.
Kranjska Gora
(with Gozd Martuljek and Mojstrana) is the oldest winter sport resort in Slovenia (810 m above sea level). It is the site of World Cup Championships.
5 chair lifts, 17 ski lifts, baby lift. Slopes for everybody -- from absolute beginners to expert skiers.
Zatrnik
(900 m above sea level) lies 8 km from Bled on the Pokljuka plateau;
1 chair lift, 4 ski lifts. Slopes suitable for family skiing.
Zelenica/Ljubelj
(1544m above sea level), 14 km from the town of Trzic, near the Slovene-Austrian border crossing of Ljubelj;
2 chair lifts, 2 ski lifts. Rather demanding slopes.
Soriska Planina
(1307m above sea level), 37 km from Skofja Loka;
3 ski lifts.
Stari Vrh
(1032m above sea level), 12 km from Skofja Loka;
1 chair lift, 3 ski lifts.
Krvavec
(1852m above sea level), 15 km from Kranj, 36 km from Ljubljana;
cable-car, 6 chair lifts, 7 ski lifts. It has received a special award, Zlata snezinka (Golden Snow-Flake), as the best-maintained ski slope in Slovenia.
Kope
(up to 1543 m above sea level), near Slovenj Gradec, a part of the Pohorje massif; 7 ski lifts.
Rogla
(up to 1517 m above sea level), 100 km NE from Ljubljana, 50 km from Maribor, a part of the Pohorje massif;
2 chair lifts and 11 ski lifts.
Mariborsko Pohorje
(up to 1347 m above sea level), practically above the town of Maribor. Cable car and more than twenty ski lifts. The site of FIS World Cup Championship for Ladies Zlata lisica (Golden fox).
Rog -- Crmosnjice
(up to 955 m above sea level), near Novo mesto. Two ski lifts -- suitable for less demanding skiers.

Cross-country skiing

Kranjska Gora
40 km of well-maintained, interconnected cross-country courses. The course Kranjska Gora -- Ratece -- Planica -- Tamar leads through a very attractive landscape.
Pokljuka
30 km of courses, from 800 m to 1300 m above sea level.
Vogel/Bohinj
a very demanding cross-country course in Bohinj (14 km), the site of World Cup Championship. The course on Vogel is very suitable for training; it lies 1500 m above sea level.
Bled and surroundings
about 15 km of well maintained courses.
Rogla
50 km of well maintained courses, very suitable for training.
Mariborsko Pohorje
(from 1050 to 1347 m above sea level), 24 km of cross-country courses, from the Bellevue Hotel to Zigartov vrh above Areh.
